Introduction In this blog post, I’ll share my experience taking the AWS DevOps Pro Exam, how I prepared for it, well I guess not prepared for it, and some recommendations for resources to help you pass the exam.
Preparation Like the Azure DevOps Expert Exam (AZ-400), I didn’t have any specific preparation for the AWS DevOps PRO Exam either. I had a coupon expiring and the exam version was retiring, so I decided to wing it.

Are Cloud Certifications worth it?

So the most valuable cloud engineers or developers in many established organizations don’t necessarily have loads of certifications. Instead, they bring extensive experience in IT infrastructure and have hands-on experience with the cloud and a habit of self-taught learning. I think there are two sides to cloud certifications and I want to cover both.
Pros I’ll start with the pros, cloud certifications or certifications in general in IT, this has been a long-going debate and just like everything there are upsides and downsides.

Hello amazing people 👋
Hope you all are doing great. For this blog, as the title suggests, it’s my submission for the @Hashnode Hackathon!
What I built? 🛠 As some of you may know about the notes for my cloud certification that I have made publicly available for the community via GitHub.
I was not expecting so many people using it.
And 68 stars on GitHub😲
https://github.com/rishabkumar7/CloudNotes So I decided as part of this Hackathon, let’s make a Web app that will serve my cloud certification notes.

My Cloud Adventure After passing 4 AWS certifications, I wanted to learn new things and start with another cloud provider: Azure, as part of the #100DaysOfCloud Challenge!
I am on this Azure adventure and already have bagged the AZ-900, Azure Fundamentals. I wanted to get some more experience and certifications for Azure. So I decided to go with another fundamental exam, just to get comfortable with Microsoft’s style of exams.

It’s been a few months when I got my first AWS Associate Certificate. And I wanted to get my last Associate certificate for AWS before I got distracted by some other technology. Since the start of the pandemic, I took the opportunity to utilize my extra time to get some certifications.
https://twitter.com/rishabk7/status/1284842429498236928?s=20 For the past certifications, my strategy was pretty comparable to others, go through the study material (courses, labs and documentation) do some practice tests and then book the exam once I felt prepped.

Tick tock. Tick tock.🕐
As the clock ticks on, with a deafening silence we have never known before, like many of us, I didn’t want to sit and count those seconds scrolling by.
Time ain’t really money (I mean we should have been rich by that logic long time back) but it sure is an opportunity.
So, I decided to put this period of lockdown to unlock more of my potential, by diving into the clouds!

So I recently took the #AzureCertified challenge and started preparing for the AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals certificate. It’s the starting point for Azure certifications.
Fortunately, I was able to pass it last night with a score of 880 (not great, but I will take it!)
Courses Again @andrewbrown to the rescue! Andrew published his free AZ-900 course on FreeCodeCamp Youtube Channel. I also went through the Microsoft Learn path for Azure Fundamentals and must say that I loved this new approach to learning!
